Now You Are a Ghost

We used to be so close

but now you are a ghost.

Someone I hardly see.

You keep on hurting me.

.

Interested in yourself

I feel that I am shelved

in convenience for you

picked up when you want to

.

divulge all of your stress

and your unhappiness.

Never ask how I am,

don’t really give a damn.

.

Your ego always shuns.

I love you but I’m done.

Won’t beg for attention

I’ll take your rejection.

A Time For Change

When you love somebody dearly

but the relationship’s estranged,

and you feel taken for granted

maybe it is time for a change.

.

Alter your own expectations

and take people for who they are.

You know nobody is perfect

and perhaps your opinion’s marred

.

by idealist perceptions

of what your connection should be.

it could be your own attitude

that’s causing all the misery.

.

Even true love wanes with pressure,

give your heart time to beat alone

Leave your trusted soul air to breathe

because a person’s never owned.

We Should Be Thankful

We should be thankful for

the people that used us,

and the narcissists who

have hurt and abused us.

.

We should give praise to

the traumas that were ailed,

it taught us to be brave

when our hearts were frail.

.

Yes we should feel happy

looking back on dark days

as they’ve made us stronger

forever and always

.

appreciate life let

negativity go

because that is the way

your happiness will grow.

Harvest Moon

The clouds are iridescent

in love with the moon tonight.

The stratosphere’s glowing in

it’s celestial delight.

.

Crescent illuminations

enlighten wisp nebula.

In darkness it’s a cosmic

orange orb of plethora.

.

The twilight lies with passion

as the heavens float on by.

The lunar cast enchantment

Is embedded in the skies.

.

Hearts are bound in fluorescence,

and the night will harvest love.

Embracing moonlight dreamers

in their sanctity of lust.

Ghost Love

You came to me in reverie

my love. A cherished memory,

I’ve visited your grave virtually

and last night you were here with me.

.

In my slumber resurrected,

with your presence. I’m protected

from my worries my spirit love

with your guidance from above.

.

You walked beside me for a while,

it was heavenly to see your smile.

Our hearts once more in dalliance

in your ghostly tarriance.

.

In the morning when I woke,

I thought of you and my heart broke.

For though you are long gone from me,

true love lasts for eternity.

It’s Not My Fault You’re Insecure

It’s not my fault you’re insecure,

your jealousy’s got out of hand.

I just don’t like you anymore

because you’ll never understand

.

that you despise my honesty,

to your own faults you’re always blind.

Ever attention longingly

unceasingly you seek to find.

.

Perhaps you’ve been devoid of love

as you strive hard to be adored.

But then you give people a shove,

you’re dropping them when you get bored.

.

Problems are blamed on those you use

to boost your ego for a while,

constantly others are miscued

always the victim you’re reviled.

.

The truth is that you’re just the same

as the souls that you criticise,

so take your selfish blinkers off

as ignorance is never wise.

Breathe (a rondeau)

When life leaves you blown and gasping,

and in despair you are grasping

all hope. Your injured soul’s aggrieved,

know that with some love you can breathe,

take your heart and keep on clasping

.

onto good thoughts. Spurn the rasping

storms, negativity blasting .

Know that with confidence you’ll breathe

when life leaves you

.

doubtful and your spirit’s asking

if it’s darker days are passing

soon. Lights will shine in your relief.

Know that with its strength you will breathe.

Better days are forecasting

when life leaves you.
